West Lakes Golf & Villas is an 18-hole championship golf course opened in 2018. It is the first golf course in the western Ho Chi Minh City region and takes 1.5 hours to reach from District 1.

The West Lakes course itself designed by Thomson Perrett, popularized by founder and five times British Open winner, Peter Thomson. The layout plays 7100 yards long, highlighted by picturesque lakes on most every hole, undulating fairways, and clever bunkering, all signatures of Thomson Perrett and the local implementation team.

West Lakes Golf & Villas is one of the first golf courses in South Vietnam feature Zeon Zoysia grassed fairways, which are extremely easy to hit off. The greens are the Tifeagle breed of Bermuda grass which produce fast running and true rolling putting surfaces. Golfers of all levels will appreciate the premium condition of the turf.

The front nine starts rather innocuously with wide fairways and landing areas. The back nine has more of the interesting holes and challenges. Key to good scoring at West lakes is to purposely layup short of the fairway and greenside bunker complexes. Patient golfer rewards follow while aggressive hitters are in for a long day.

The facilities include a large grass driving range attached the clubhouse, where practicing golfers can be seen from the main restaurant. The restaurant offers Western, Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese dishes including golfer fast food as well as fine dining options.
