Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL LUANG PRABANG (-)

Arrive in Luang Prabang, transfer you to the hotel. Afternoon, you’ll visit Wat Xieng Thong, one of the largest and most decorative temples, and Wat Mai, with its beautiful gilded façade. Then continue on to the former Royal Palace, a commanding structure in the centre of town that until 1946 was the heart of the Lang Xang Kingdom. Today it is the National Museum, and its halls contain rare religious and cultural artefacts. Next, climb 328 steps to the top of Mount Phousi and enjoy panoramic views of the city.

DAY 2:DAY 2: LUANG PRABANG – MUANG SING (B/L/-)

If you wish, get an early start and participate in the traditional Lao rite of giving alms to the monks. Every morning, some 300 monks file through the city silently collecting offerings. After breakfast, journey approximately nine hours to Luang Namtha and then continue to Muang Sing for overnight.

DAY 3:MUANG SING – AKA VILLAGE (B/L/-)

Start by Tuk Tuk about 20 minutes visit Ban Don Chai (Tai Lue) you will walk around the village about 15 minutes. 40 minutes walking to visit Ban Pha Kha (Akha) learn about their tradition and culture. An hour walking pass agricultural field to visit Ban Sai Leck, Ban Jong Kha and Ban Nam Mai they are Yao ethnic groups, seeing how to weaving and their life, lunch provide on the trail. 15 minutes walking to visit Ban Nam Daet Mai (Akha) you will spend time an hour in the village learns about their tradition, culture and architecture and before returning to Muang Sing , you might be able to join one of the Akha Spiritual Cults and then get the Tuk Tuk back to Muang Sing town.

DAY 4:MUANG SING – NONG KHIEW (B/L/-)

After a visit to the morning market and back to your guesthouse for breakfast, you will then head to Nong Khiew, a rustic town nestled on the banks of the Ou River between impressive limestone mountains. Stop in a fascinating Hmong village along the way to learn about the highland way of life and enjoy a scenic lunch before arriving in time to visit the local school, wander the sleepy streets and relax on the banks of the river for sunset.

DAY 5:NONG KHIEW (B/L/-)

After breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Ou River, embark on a cruise upstream to visit the lowland people of Ban Sopjam who make silk and cotton. Learn how to use a loom and weave with a local family before heading off to Moung Ngoi for lunch and gentle trek to Kang Cave, once a refuge for locals during the war. After exploring and swimming through the cave, cruise back to Nong Khiaw where you will spend the night.

DAY 6:NONG KHIEW – VIENG THONG (B/L/D)

Transfer to Vieng Thong this morning, approximately six hours drive through thick Laos countryside stopping along the way to explore more local life in the village of Ban Kamu. Vieng Thong is a bustling little village with vibrant market where you can watch locals haggling for different farm produce before heading to your hotel to relax after your journey.

DAY 7: VIENG THONG – MUANG KHAM (B/L/D)

After breakfast head to Muang Kham, another scenic seven hour journey through a beautiful part of Laos, stopping to stretch and take in the panoramic views along the way.

DAY 8: MUANG KHAM – XIENG KHOUANG (B/L/-)

First stop today is the Tham Piew, a cave with a tragic history. Venture inside to pay respect for those killed during the war, before driving on to Xieng Khoang province, home of the Plain of Jars, and your hotel in Phonsavanh, the capital of the province.

DAY 9: XIENG KHOUANG – PLAIN OF JAR (B/L/-)

This morning you will head to the famous archaeological site of the Plain of Jars. These giant vessels, some as big as 14 tons, are scattered over rice paddies and forest, and are thought to date back over thousands of years. The impressive stones are a mystery, with no known purpose or exact period or place from which they have derived. After exploring the site, head off to Muang Khoun, the old capital of Xieng Khoang which was destroyed during the war. This once beautiful Royal Kingdom is now reduced to just a few temple ruins, but traces of the colonial past can still be seen as you wander around. Head back to your hotel in the late afternoon.

DAY 10: XIENG KHOUANG – LUANG PRABANG DEPARTURE (B/L/-)

Check out after breakfast and a private vehicle will take you back to Luang Prabang, stopping when you need to stretch your legs, and for a scenic lunch in the Laos countryside. Arrive Luang Prabang at around 5pm for your flight onward.

1.Do I need to arrange the Visa to Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia?

– Cambodia Visa

You can get a Cambodia visa stamp upon arrival without pre-arrangements. You only need to pay a USD$25 fee (this fee maybe differ depending on the nationality of passport holder) and 2 pictures for each traveler. You can then expect about 15 minutes for processing at the airport.

– Laos Visa

You can get a Laos visa stamp upon arrival without pre-arrangements. You only need to pay a USD$25 fee (this fee maybe differ depending on the nationality of passport holder) and 2 pictures for each traveler. You can then expect about 15 minutes for processing at the airport.

– Vietnam Visa

Unlike Cambodia or Laos, before entry into Vietnam, you must have a Vietnam visa stamp or a Vietnam visa on arrival pre-approved letter. A tourist visa for Vietnam can be obtained from any Vietnam embassy or consulate office worldwide. This visa is valid for 30 days and can be extended through our head office in Vietnam.

– Special Notes

Please make sure that you have your passport, that your passport is still valid for six months and contains two white pages. Upon receiving the pre-approved visa, we will send it to you right away. Kindly print it out and show it when needed. Upon arrival at Vietnam’s airport, expect to fill out a simple form. Kindly prepare two photos, USD$ 25 for stamp fees per person for single entry Visa, USD$50 for multiple entry visa and expect a 15 minutes wait time.

2.How far ahead I can book?

You can book as far as 24 months in advance, but please ensure you remember you have made the reservation. We will charge USD$100 non-refundable deposit and require full payment 30 days before departure. You can expect to receive the invoice as a reminder well in advance of your trip.

3.How is the latest time that I can make the reservation?

We can only guarantee bookings made at least 5- working days (not including weekend) before the departure date.

4.How long will I get your first proposal?

Upon receiving your request, you will receive the first acknowledgement to reassure you that we are giving your request immediate attention. Rest assured that your request is always our top priority. The full detailed proposal will be in your inbox no later than 24 hours or within 48 hours in the case of public holidays or special events.

5.How do I reserve my trip with you?

Just complete and send the reservation form making sure that you have given us your e-mail address and a valid credit card number. As soon as we receive your request we will contact your chosen hotel to confirm the reservation. It is our policy to reply to all requests within 24 hours. Please read our terms and conditions before making payment.

6.How do I process the booking with you?

In order to confirm your booking, you are kindly requested to deposit 20% of the total cost. After you have made the transfer, please send us a copy of bank receipt to follow with our bank. When the remittent reach our account, we will start to lock in services. The normal process for the remittent to reach our account is about 2 to 3 working days.
